NASA successfully completed agency review of all Recipient Report submissions. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Aeronautics: In the development of turbofan engine simulations and controllers, Aviation Safety at Glenn Research Center has completed the sensitivity study on the impact of varying the small engine simulation’s controller limits on performance and risk; and in large engine simulation, iterative solver implementation and new control mode implementations have been completed. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Exploration: Continue quality assurance and risk management development of a draft handbook on the implementation of human-rating requirements in NASA for space systems. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Science: For Earth Science Research and Analysis, the Terrestrial Observation and Prediction System (TOPS) Irrigation continued deployment of the sensor network instruments in lysimeter field, transplanted processing tomato crop with USDA and CSU Fresno, completed repairs to lysimeter irrigation system, and initiated lysimeter experiment and began deploying surface renewal instrumentation; for the Airborne Science WB-57 aircraft, chem-milled skins were delivered, material for the honeycomb panel ribs and spars was delivered; for Venture Class, the Carbon in Arctic Reservoirs Vulnerability Experiment (CARVE) on the Twin Otter aircraft team successfully completed all its science flight goals for Alaska 2011 from Fairbanks, to Barrow, Alaska including performing an ISGA / Flask spiral over Barrow. &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Cross-Agency Support for Hurricane Damage Repair Projects at the Johnson Space Center (JSC): NASA continues to support a performance audit on the Cross-Agency Support JSC Hurricane Repair activities which began on August 31st. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt; &lt;tr&gt; &lt;td colspan="4"&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt; &lt;tr&gt; &lt;td&gt;Major &lt;br /&gt;Planned Actions &lt;/td&gt; &lt;td colspan="9"&gt; &lt;li&gt;Aeronautics: Supersonics at GRC test planning and preparation will continue in support of May wind tunnel testing, and IRT Refrigeration and Tunnel HEX Project Controls system factory acceptance test planned TBD at the Tullahoma, TN, Facility. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Exploration: The ARES (Upper Stage) Vertical Assembly Tool software coding will continue in May. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Science: Continue Research Science, Virtual Terrestrial Observation and Prediction System (V-TOPS) deploying additional soil moisture instrumentation and sensor network installations in California; Venture Class Carbon in Arctic Reservoirs Vulnerability Experiment (CARVE) will ferry the aircraft back to Grand Junction, CO, and start flights in OK in June;&#160; Airborne Science Airborne Microwave Observatory of Sub canopy and Subsurface (AirMOSS) radar performance trade study; WB-57 Ailerons effort ; and the Research and Analysis Irrigation Optimization Task deployment of surface renewal instrumentation, will continue in May. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Cross-Agency Support for Hurricane Damage Repair Projects at the Johnson Space Center (JSC): All CAS restoration projects are completed; no additional repairs are planned. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt; &lt;/tbody&gt; &lt;/table&gt;</content> </entry></feed>
