Major Completed Actions

NASA Office of Inspector General Audits: NASA continues to close out requests for clarifying data that support the OIG effort on summarizing the results of the site visits, and audits conducted on the contract/cooperative agreement awards, in October through December. NASA is responding to an audit on the Agency's process for reviewing data quality of the recipient reports, for "significant errors and material omissions."

Science: The Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) awarded additional effort on the Airborne Science IceBridge Cryosphere Radar Suite.

Exploration: The two remaining Space Act Agreements (SAAs) for the Commercial Crew Development activities were awarded at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). The Stennis Space Center (SSC) awarded the Ares project for Test Stand A‐3 construction, completed the demolition of the compressors and the compressor motors for the vacuum monitoring project and all liquid oxygen (LOX) barge refurbishment work has been completed

Aeronautics: Issued awards to the University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) research access to NextGen airspace at the Ames Research Center (ARC); additional facilities upgrades work for the Icing Research Tunnel at the Glenn Research Center (GRC); and many small procurements including for improved aircraft safety research in materials, flight controls, and flight critical systems, as well as enhanced models and simulations to qualify performance prediction.

Cross‐Agency Support for Hurricane Damage Repair Projects at the Johnson Space Center (JSC): Issued a delivery order for removal of obsolete roof‐top equipment in support of repair of the roof, a contract mod for Building 9 South roof repair, and a task order for additional construction project integration and schedule support.

Planned Actions

NASA intends to continue soliciting for Science, Exploration, and Aeronautics contracts and cooperative agreement proposals in accordance with applicable Program Plans, and then start work on projects in accordance with Recovery Act provisions.

NASA Office of Inspector General Audits: NASA is in discussion with the OIG on what up and coming audits may occur.

Science: Several Earth Science procurements are planned for late‐March and April, including various research investments in Scientific Computing, the Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM), Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite II (ICESAT 2), Applied Science and Airborne Science.

Exploration: Several additional tasks are planned in April for the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) launch infrastructure activities, the Stennis Space Center (SSC) A‐3 test stand construction, and the Commercial Crew Cargo Common Docking Adapter contract mod is anticipated to be definitized.

Aeronautics: Multiple procurements are still on schedule for award in April including additional NASA Research Announcement (NRA) proposals for Fundamental Aeronautics, Aviation Safety, and Airspace Systems.

Cross‐Agency Support for Hurricane Damage Repair Projects at the Johnson Space Center (JSC): Several procurements for the WB‐57 aircraft aileron refurbishment project are on schedule for April.
