NASA Awards Contract for Test Facilities Operations, Maintenance and Engineering

NASA has selected HX5 Sierra, LLC, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida to provide operations, engineering and maintenance support services test facilities and laboratories for the agency’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland and Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.

The current potential value of the contract is $363 million, which includes the approximately $47.5 million initial value that starts June 1. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract includes a 17-month base period along with four two-year option periods and one seven-month option period, if exercised. The contract also includes a cost–plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity portion that extends over the life of the contract. The contract has a performance period of 10 years, including options. Contract phase-in begins April 1.

HX5 Sierra provides the engineering and technician support; manufacturing and development support; and the operations, maintenance, inspection and certification support needed to conduct aeronautic and space-related testing.
