NASA Awards Research Facilities and Engineering Support Services Contract

NASA has awarded a contract for research facilities and engineering support services to InuTeq, LLC of Greenbelt, Maryland, in support of the Mission Information and Test Systems Directorate at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center, Edwards, California.

This cost-plus-award-fee contract covers a one-year base period beginning Nov. 1, 2014 and four one-year options, and is valued at a maximum of $73 million. The options, if exercised, would extend the contract to a total of five years through Oct. 31, 2019.

Under this contract, InuTeq, a certified small disadvantaged business, will provide support services to the Armstrong Flight Research Center in three primary areas:

— The Dryden Aeronautical Test Range, which supports and enables flight research operations and low earth-orbiting missions;

— The Research and Aircraft Integration Facility, which ensures high-fidelity flight simulations enhance the quality, quantity, and feasibility of research objectives; and

— The Consolidated Information Technology Center, which ensures information technology services are designed, managed and utilized to support Armstrong priorities.
