NASA Awards Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services Contract

NASA has awarded a sole-source modification of its Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services contract to SGT Inc., of Greenbelt, Maryland, for the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, also in Greenbelt.

This is a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity new work modification. The total value of this contract is increased by $123 million to $643 million. Individual task orders may extend for up to one year past the expiration of the ordering period.

SGT will continue to provide services for development and validation of new technologies for future space and science missions. This will include study, design, systems engineering, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification and operations of space flight, airborne and ground system hardware and software.

The Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate is responsible for providing multidiscipline engineering expertise for both in-house and out-of-house instrument and spacecraft programs, including the Joint Polar Satellite System and the Space Servicing Capabilities Project.

The work under issued task orders will be performed at Goddard and the contractor’s facility.
