    Overview
    The Cost Analysis Division (CAD) supports the Administrator, Deputy Administrator, Associate Administrator, Associate Deputy Administrator and Chief of Staff. The Cost Analysis Division is responsible for ensuring that the Agency's cost estimates are continually improving and increasing in accuracy.


    Mission
    The Cost Analysis Division performs various activities in support of its function as the cost estimating arm of Office of Evaluation. This team provides cost estimates for possible future Agency programs. It also assesses available cost estimating tools to ensure that the Agency's cost estimations are continually improving and increasing in accuracy. The Cost Analysis Division develops cost analysis policy for the Agency and is available to perform quick turn around cost analysis in support of the Office of the Administrator.

CAD Administration

  • Douglas A. Comstock

    The Director of the Cost Analysis Division serves as the primary coordinator for agency-level cost estimating efforts. He helps improve the entire cost analysis community at NASA with improved data, methods, and tools. He integrates the efforts of the agency's various cost analysis offices, while supervising an analytic staff at NASA Headquarters.
