Associate General Counsel for Commercial and Intellectual Property Law Practice Group Richard W. Sherman Richard W. Sherman joined the NASA legal team in January, 2006 as the Associate General Counsel for Commercial and Intellectual Property Law.

Mr. Sherman came to NASA with more than 30 years of government and industry experience. He spent ten years with the Office of the General Counsel of the Department of the Navy and served in a number of legal and management positions in the aerospace industry, including General Counsel of Fairchild Space & Defense Corporation and Senior Vice President at Orbital Sciences Corporation.

He graduated from the Wharton School of Business and the School of Law at the University of Pennsylvania, and received a Masters of Law of Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law
