NASA Unique and Innovative Game Changing Technology Solicitation Now Open!
The Office of the Chief Technologist (OCT) is tasked with establishing an organization within NASA to stimulate space technology innovation. The Game Changing Technology (GCT) division is central to meeting this challenge by investing in mid-TRL technologies that have promise for disruptive innovations and applications to the space community. The primary approach within GCT is via focused topic-specific solicitations. However, there are fundamentally unique technologies that exist that won’t fit into this construct, or other opportunities within NASA.
This solicitation NNH11ZUA001K
is seeking executive summaries, white papers, and proposals for research and development (R&D) for technology that is innovative and unique and promises to enable revolutionary improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nations space capability. 5–10 awards are anticipated, totaling up to $5M per year. Responses may be submitted at any time while this solicitation is open. Responses will be reviewed and award decisions made throughout the year.
NASA's Game Changing Technology division is soliciting proposals for research and development of technology that is innovative and unique and that promises to enable revolutionary improvements to America's space capabilities. NASA will seek proposals that align with the agency's Space Technology Roadmaps

Game changing proposals must address topics that dramatically change how NASA performs its space missions, uses space as a resource, or matures and applies space technology for important problem solving in space and on the Earth. This solicitation is focused on disruptive innovations that hold the potential for providing a “game changing” impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our Nation’s space capabilities. Awards from the Game Changing solicitation may range for $10,000 to several million dollars.
This is an open announcement.
