New APPEL Course: Space System Development: Lessons Learned
APPEL has added a new engineering course to its curriculum.
Space System Development: Lessons Learned will be taught by Larry Ross, former Director of the Glenn Research Center, and Joe Nieberding. Together, they have almost 70 years of NASA experience. The two-day course includes a review of numerous NASA case studies covering hardware design, program management issues, near-miss incidents, and software design failures. These case studies offer valuable lessons learned for any engineer, designer, or project manager.
The course will be offered at the Kennedy Space Center August 3-4, 2009 and at the Ames Research Center on a later date to be determined. If you have questions about this course or would like to discuss ideas for future APPEL engineering courses, please use the link below to contact Roger Forsgren, APPEL Business Manager.
