Knowledge Forums

The effective use of knowledge is critical to the success of NASA's missions and the organization's long-term sustainability. Knowledge Forums are small, engaging one-day events that address different aspects of knowledge acquisition, capture, and transfer.

The forums feature leading experts and practitioners from government, industry, and academia who deal directly with knowledge-related challenges. Participants interact with panelists to share stories and experiences in open discussion related to the evolving field of knowledge management.

Emphasis is placed on informal discussions and networking in order to cultivate a strong and innovative knowledge community.

The NASA Academy, along with co-host MWH Global, brought together knowledge experts from NASA centers, industry, and academia for the Academy’s fourth NASA Knowledge Forum on April 5, 2011.
Knowledge Forum #3

APPEL and the Educational Testing Service co-hosted Knowledge Forum #3, September 13, 2010, which addressed building, promoting, managing, and sustaining knowledge networks in organizations.
Space Shuttle Lessons Learned

APPEL and Mitre co-hosted Knowledge Forum #2, April 22, 2010, in San Diego, California. Representatives from NASA, industry, and academia gathered to explore staffing, knowledge preservation, and communication.
