Cuyahoga Community College
The NASA SEMAA project at Cuyahoga Community College provides students in grades K-12 with a better understanding of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Meeting on Saturday mornings during the academic school year and one-week in the summer, students are actively engaged in a hands-on, inquiry-based, cooperative learning environment that allows students at every grade level to learn by doing.
SEMAA classes typically range in size from 20 to 25 students, and are instructed by certified, experienced teachers. Classes use hands-on collaborative teaching techniques to make learning about math and science fun! During the academic school-year sessions, parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in their child's learning process by attending the Family Café -- a series of informative workshops, panel discussions and activities specifically designed to educate them on ways to ensure their child's academic success. Students may attend one academic and one summer session per year.
The NASA SEMAA Project at Cuyahoga Community College is a free program. However, classroom space is limited so apply today!
