Virtual Learning Magnet for Space Science and Mathematics: Proof of Concept
[Students & Educators Grades 9-12]
[Available: Proof of Concept Completed June 30, 2009]
The Council of Chief State School Officers, or CCSSO, through a cooperative agreement with NASA, engaged in a Proof of Concept for a Virtual Learning Magnet for Space Science and Mathematics. The Proof of Concept involved a small number of students from eight states in the study of introductory physics through the lens of space science and aeronautics research. The Virtual Learning Magnet design is largely student-directed and performance-based. Based on evaluation of the Proof of Concept and the interest of the states, CCSSO plans to expand the VLM for Space Science and Mathematics.
Students who wish to be notified of future offerings through CCSSO’s Virtual Learning Magnet, should contact CCSSO directly.
