ESMD Space Grant Student Project
[Students Higher Education]
[Available: Nationally]
NASA’s Exploration Systems Mission Directorate, or ESMD, is offering students opportunities related to exploration in partnership with the National Space Grant Consortia. These include Senior Design Projects where students gain hands-on experience on a project related to the Nation’s space exploration mission while learning the NASA Systems Engineering process. There are two paper competitions: the Systems Engineering Paper Competition and the Research Paper where students can win cash scholarships and VIP seating at a launch. Students are also encouraged to participate in the Lunar Regolith Excavator Competition in May 2010 where they get to compete with other teams at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. In addition, students can take part in exploration-related internships with space-related industry. Check with the local
Space Grant Consortium for more details on how to participate.
