Exploration Station

Kennedy Space Center's Exploration Station offers free educational and fun student programs for school groups, as well as other student organizations. NASA Exploration Station provides an opportunity to encounter hands-on learning activities in math, science and technology through seeing, touching and doing!

Students participate in a variety of hands-on activities utilizing aerospace hardware that compliments the teaching of rocketry, spaceflight, space science and space exploration. Programs are geared specifically toward each group's grade level. These programs meet national curriculum standards and Sunshine State Standards associated with math, science and technology.

Requirements:

  • Minimum: 15 students
  • Maximum: 45 students
  • Ratio: One adult per 10 students

Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the first and third Saturday of each month (exceptions noted below).
NASA Exploration Station is closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, all federal holidays, during NASA Educator Workshops, launch operations and other conflicting NASA obligations.

Duration:
One hour (can be tailored to meet the school schedule).
