STS-129 Crew Part of Washington Wizards Game Activities
01.13.10

The space shuttle Atlantis astronauts for mission STS-129 were introduced to the Verizon Center crowd before the Jan. 12 game between the Detroit Pistons and host Washington Wizards. The astronauts took center court for a photo op and to display an NBA jersey that was flown on their shuttle flight to the International Space Station; later, they had an opportunity to view the game. The jersey is expected to be returned to the NBA during the All-Star game in Dallas next month.
