Expedition 10 Launch

A Russian Soyuz rocket lifts off from Baikonur, Kazakhstan at 11:06 p.m. EDT on Oct. 13, carrying Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov to the International Space Station. Also aboard, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Shargin, who will return to Earth October 24 with the Expedition 9 crew, Mike Fincke and Gennady Padalka.
