NASA DIRECT
How to Participate in "Ask the Mission Team"

When a NASA Direct Question Board is active and accepting questions, the submission form will appear on the bottom of that page. To submit a question, complete the form with the following information:
  • First Name
  • City
  • E-mail Address
  • Your Question
Then select the "Submit" button to forward your question to us.

NOTE: We need the e-mail address in order to contact prizewinners for their mailing address.
The address is not posted anywhere.

There is no limit to the number of questions you may submit. However, you must complete the form each time you wish to submit a question.

After you submit your question, you will be returned to the Question Board. Meanwhile, your question will be sorted with other incoming questions. A moderator will review each question and may edit it if there are grammar or other issues. Appropriate questions will then be released and visible to the public in the active NASA Direct Question Board. The submitter's first name and city will also be shown.

NOTE: Duplicate, off-topic or inappropriate questions will not be posted. The Question Board will be moderated Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time.

The questions will be sent to the appropriate expert. The expert will then send his or her answers to the NASA Direct team, and these answers will be posted on the mission's Ask the Mission Team page shortly before launch.
