Dr. Davin Larson - THEMIS Scientist

Dr. Davin Larson received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Berkeley.
Dr. Larson led the development of the SST instrument on the THEMIS mission. His responsibilities include overseeing the design, production, testing and calibration of the instruments. He is also taking a role in the data analysis phase of the mission.
Dr. Larson is providing data analysis and interpretation of particle and field data from the WIND spacecraft. His research interests include bowshock/foreshock physics and magnetic cloud topology and evolution. He has worked extensively in the calibration and flight software development of the WIND 3D Plasma instrument, and developed the ground data system for this experiment.
