Poisk, which was launched to the station on a modified Progress spacecraft, is almost identical to the Pirs Docking Compartment. It provides the capability for extravehicular activity using Russian Orlan spacesuits. Poisk also provides systems for servicing and refurbishing the spacesuits themselves. The zenith docking system on Poisk provides a port for the docking of both Soyuz and Progress vehicles.Poisk Specifications |
