    Facility/Payload Description

    Facility Summary

    • Hand Grip Dynamometer - Pinch Force Dynamometer (HGD-PFD) are two instruments developed for use in microgravity.

    • The HGD is a hand-held device for measurement of isometric (equal) force and sustained static exercise stimulation of the hand for continuous periods of up to 300 seconds.

    • The PFD ?provides a hand-held device for measurement of isometric force and sustained static exercise stimulation of the thumb and opposing finger(s) and groupings of fingers on each hand (not including opposing hand activity) for continuous periods of up to 300 seconds in length.
