The Commerical Refrigerator Incubator Module - Modified (CRIM-M) is a single middeck locker equivalent thermal incubator for payloads requiring thermal control in the temperature ranges between 4 degrees C and 40 degrees C. The CRIM-M is a front air breathing payload with numerous hours logged on ISS.
CRIM-M is a single middeck locker equivalent weighing 14.24 kg and drawing 40 - 126 Watts of power. CRIM-M has a volume of 8.1 L.
The CRIM-M can be operated remotely if installed within an EXPRESS Rack or through push buttons on the front surface. Four circuit breakers are provided for power, data logging, internal power, and air flow. The internal compartment is accessed through the opening of the front door and an internal experiment door is provided for added thermal stability.
