Brief Summary

To share the excitement of space exploration, inspire and ignite interest among Canadians in Canada's next space mission, Expedition 34/35, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield will participate in an ARISS connection with a Canadian school. This live Ham radio event will create interest and engage young Canadians in learning in the mission.

    Experiment Description

    Research Overview

    • To raise Canadians' awareness, especially amongstyoung Canadians, and interest in Expedition 34/35 mission with a Canadian astronaut on board.


    • Astronaut Hadfield will take part in a Ham radio connection with a Canadian school.


    • The event will create interest and engage young Canadians in learning about the mission as they will have the unique opportunity to speak to astronaut Hadfield while in space. The event will be webcast to promote the mission while increasing Canadian's overall awareness in the mission activities via Canadian media, web and other social media networks.
