Expedition 33 Prime and Backup Crews

JSC2012-E-224534 (18 Oct. 2012) --- The Expedition 33 prime and backup crews pose for pictures Oct. 18, 2012 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in front of the famed cottage where Yuri Gagarin slept the night before his launch April 12, 1961 aboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft to become the first human to fly in space. From left to right are prime NASA Flight Engineer Kevin Ford, prime Flight Engineer Evgeny Tarelkin, prime Soyuz Commander Oleg Novitskiy and backup crew members Chris Cassidy of NASA, Pavel Vinogradov and Alexander Misurkin. Ford, Novitskiy and Tarelkin are scheduled to launch Oct. 23 from the Cosmodrome in their Soyuz TMA-06M spacecraft for a five-month mission on the International Space Station.
