Ford and his crewmates, Russian cosmonauts Oleg Novitskiy and Evgeny Tarelkin, are scheduled to launch in their Soyuz TMA-06M spacecraft on Oct. 23 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for a five-month mission on the International Space Station.
