Dragon Docking Procedure

The SpaceX Dragon commercial space ferry seen from the International Space Station during docking on the May 25, 2012. Once cleared for approach, Dragon stopped 10 m from the space station where European Space Agency astronaut André Kuipers and NASA astronaut Don Pettit used the Canadian robotic arm, Canadarm2, to grab and dock the spacecraft. Dragon brought supplies and equipment to the orbital outpost and will return to Earth after a week. Credits: NASA/ESA
