JSC2008-E-41711 (23 May 2008) --- The Expedition 16 crew and a South Korean spaceflight participant braved blustery weather at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, outside Moscow on May 23, 2008 for the traditional crew welcoming ceremony. From left to right are astronaut Peggy Whitson, Expedition 16 commander; cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, flight engineer and Soyuz commander, South Korean So-Yeon Yi; and European Space Agency astronaut Leopold Eyharts, flight engineer. Whitson, Malenchenko and Yi returned home from the International Space Station on the Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft on April 19, 2008 while Eyharts returned from the ISS aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour on March 26, 2008. JSC2008-E-41721 (23 May 2008) --- At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, outside Moscow, cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko (left), Expedition 16 flight engineer and Soyuz commander, and astronaut Peggy Whitson, Expedition 16 commander, accepted a traditional offering of bread during a crew return ceremony May 23, 2008.
