Missions for Contract Year 2013
The SLICE Mission has been delayed until some time in 2013 due to rocket and range issues. The experiment will fly to a projected apogee of 198 miles during the nearly 16-minute flight. Its mission is to to study this space between the stars called the interstellar medium. The launch will take place from White Sands Missile Range, NM.
The EUNIS Mission has been delayed until some time in 2013 due to rocket and range issues. This NASA mission to study the sun will make its third launch into space for a six-minute flight to gather information about the way material roils through the sun's atmosphere, sometimes causing eruptions and ejections that travel as far as Earth.
