STS-133 Launch Coverage

    Anna HeineySpace shuttle Discovery lifted off from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Pad 39A on Feb. 24, 2011 at 4:53 p.m. EST. It's the final spaceflight for Discovery, NASA's oldest orbiter, which is ferrying hardware and supplies to the International Space Station on the 11-day STS-133 mission. Below is our account of the countdown to liftoff as reported by blogger Anna Heiney from Firing Room 3 in Kennedy Space Center's Launch Control Center.
