The View from the Top
On Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the STS-129 crew, dressed in their launch-and-entry suits, appear ready for liftoff following the completion of their Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test, a dress rehearsal for launch. Behind them are space shuttle Atlantis' external tank and the nose cone of a solid rocket booster.
