Guiding a Gyroscope
In the Space Station Processing Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, technicians help guide the control moment gyroscope toward the small adapter plate assembly below. The gyroscope is part of the payload on the STS-129 mission to the International Space Station. During the mission, space shuttle Atlantis also will deliver orbital spares and replacement parts to extend the life of the station.
