STS-125 Landing Blog
After almost 13 days in orbit, space shuttle Atlantis landed at 11:39 a.m. EDT on Sunday, May 24, 2009. The shuttle touched down on Runway 22 at Edwards Air Force Base in California, bringing to a successful end the STS-125 mission to service and upgrade NASA's Hubble Space Telescope.
Three days of wave-offs at NASA's Kennedy Space Center due to bad weather forced mission control to bring Atlantis back to Earth in California instead of Florida.
