S119-E-010839 (27 March 2009) --- On its final full day in space before its scheduled return home on March 28, the crew of Space Shuttle Discovery took some pictures of the home planet, including this one of the Sinai Peninsula. The frame shows part of the Red Sea (top), Gulf of Suez (right of center), Nile River (far right edge), Gulf of Aqaba (center frame) and parts of the nations of Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

S119-E-010832 (27 March 2009) --- On its final full day in space before its scheduled return home on March 28, the crew of Space Shuttle Discovery took some pictures of the home planet. This view shows Lake Nasser in Egypt, under scattered clouds.

S119-E-010760 (27 March 2009) --- Astronaut Richard Arnold, mission specialist, appears to be multi-tasking on the flight deck of the Earth-orbiting Space Shuttle Discovery on its final full day in space for STS-119. Arnold shares space with two other astronauts as he records activity with a camera while toting supplies with his other hand. Astronaut John Phillips, mission specialist, is at left.

Unlike most of the images, which showed closer views of Earth featuring, oceans, lakes, rivers, clouds, mountains and deserts, this view shows Earth's limb as the spacecraft approached a rising or setting sun.
