The frame shows part of the Red Sea (top), Gulf of Suez (right of center), Nile River (far right edge), Gulf of Aqaba (center frame) and parts of the nations of Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Unlike most of the images, which showed closer views of Earth featuring, oceans, lakes, rivers, clouds, mountains and deserts, this view shows Earth's limb as the spacecraft approached a rising or setting sun.
