All briefings are held inside the Kennedy news center auditorium and will be carried live on NASA Television unless otherwise noted.

L-4 Days - Sunday, Feb. 20

Approx. 3:45 p.m. – Astronaut crew arrival

L-3 Days - Monday, Feb. 21

10 a.m. - Precountdown Status Briefing
- Jeff Spaulding, NASA test director
- Kathy Winters, shuttle weather officer

3 p.m. - Launch Countdown Begins (not on NASA TV)

L-2 Days - Tuesday, Feb. 22

10 a.m. - Countdown Status Briefing
- Steve Payne, NASA test director
- Kathy Winters, shuttle weather officer

11 a.m. - ISS National Lab teleconference (not on NASA TV)
- Mark Uhran, Assistant Associate Administrator for the International Space Station
- Jason Crusan, Chief Technologist for Space Operations
- Marybeth Edeen, Manager of the International Space Station National Lab Office

L-1 Day - Wednesday, Feb. 23

6 a.m. - Remote Camera setup (media must arrive at the NASA News Center by 6 a.m., not on NASA TV)

11 a.m. - Prelaunch News Conference
- Mike Moses, Mission Management Team chair
- Mike Leinbach, shuttle launch director
- Scott Higginbotham, STS-133 payload manager
- Kathy Winters, shuttle weather officer

1:30 p.m. - External Tank stringer repair media demonstration (not on NASA TV, but on Ustream at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nasakennedy)

8 p.m. - Rotating Service Structure moves away from Discovery (media must arrive at the NASA News Center by 6:45 p.m.)

Launch day - Thursday, Feb. 24

7:15 a.m. - Fueling commentary coverage begins

Approx. 7:25 a.m. - Tanking begins

11:30 a.m. - Continuous launch commentary coverage begins

Crew Activities: (times may vary slightly)
7 a.m. – Crew wakes up (not on NASA TV)
12:20 p.m. -- Weather briefing (commander, pilot and mission specialist 2) (not on NASA TV)
About 12:30 p.m. -- Astronauts don flight suits
1 p.m. -- Depart for launch pad
1:35 p.m. -- Arrive at White Room and begin boarding Discovery
2:45 p.m. -- Crew hatch closed and latched

4:50 p.m. -- Launch

Launch + 1 hour - Post-launch News Conference

Monday, Feb. 21 --- (Launch minus 3 days) --- 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 22 --- (Launch minus 2 days) --- 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 23 --- (Launch minus 1 day) --- 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 24 --- (Launch) Flight day 1 --- 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Feb. 25 - March 6 Flight days 2 - 11 --- 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (except weekends and holidays)
Monday, March 7 --- (Landing) Flight day 12 --- 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. (or 1 hour after last activity)

Media Badging Schedule
News media may obtain STS-133 mission credentials from the Kennedy Space Center Pass and Identification Office on State Road 3. Office hours of operation are listed below.

Sunday, Feb. 20 ---- 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 21 ---- 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 22 ---- 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 23 ----- 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 24 ----- 6 a.m. - 3 p.m.

News media are required to be escorted by NASA Public Affairs at all times while at Kennedy Space Center, except when at the news center or the Complex 39 cafeteria. No photography is allowed anywhere other than the press site unless prior permission is granted by NASA Public Affairs. News media are allowed at the press site only when public affairs personnel are on duty and the NASA News Center is open.
