Launch is Flawless!
After a successful liftoff from a Boeing Delta II rocket NOAA-N, the latest polar-orbiting satellite developed by NASA for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), will collect information about Earth's atmosphere and environment to improve weather prediction and climate research across the globe.
The Launch Vehicle
The Delta II launch vehicles are descended from the Delta rockets that have been in use since the 1960s. It is a multistage rocket powered by a single main engine and a variable number of strap-on external motors.
