Meet Jason Sippel, HS3 Mission Co-Investigator

Jason Sippel is co-investigator in the NASA HS3 Mission and a research meteorologist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md.
His research interests include: Mesoscale atmospheric processes; hurricane structure, genesis, and rapid intensification; data assimilation; ensemble forecasting and sensitivity; predictability.
Dr. Sippel attended Texas A&M University from 1999 to 2008, where he earned a B.S. in Meteorology, followed by his M.S. and Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences. After leaving Texas A&M, he spent two years under the NASA Postdoctoral Program at Goddard Space Flight Center. He joined GESTAR as an Assistant Research Scientist in May 2011.
