Eastern China

NASA's Terra satellite captured this image of smoke across eastern China on June 9th, 2012 at 03:15 UTC (June 8th, 2012, 11:15pm EST/U.S.) The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) detected a large number of hot spots, indicated by the red pixels. China has had several wildfires over the last month due to dry, hot weather.
