NASA's Aqua satellite captured this image of fires in the Northwest Territories, Canada on June 24, 2012 at 20:45 UTC (4:45pm EDT/U.S.) The red pixels are hotspots detected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS). The fire near Deline was burning out of control on June 23 and had burned more than 1,200 acres, according to CBC News. There have been 54 fires in the Northwest Territories so far this year.
