Smoke over Davis Strait and the Labrador Sea

Smoke from recent wildfires in Labrador, Canada drifts over snow and ice of the Labrador Sea in this image captured by NASA's Terra sattelite on June 14, 2012, 15:00 UTC (11:00am EDT/U.S.) The smoke is seen as more brown and gray than the background snow. The smoke drifted north from the Labrador fires, including a huge fire near North West River that has burned more than 42,000 acres.
