Fred Lim is the Deputy Project Manager for Resources on the POES Project in the Flight Projects Directorate, Code 400 at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, Maryland since January 2006. His responsibilities are to provide overall resources management for the Project. This includes financial, workforce, logistics, scheduling, configuration management, contract management, and project support.

Prior to this assignment, he worked as the Financial Manager for Projects within the Code 400 Directorate, including the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), Tracking Data Relay Satellite (TDRS), Mars Laser Communication Demonstration (MLCD), Tropical Rainforest Measurement Mission (TRMM), the Earth Observing System Terra and Aqua Missions, and the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS).

Prior to working at Goddard in June 1985, Mr. Lim spent eight years as a program analyst and budget analyst for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, The Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences, the U.S. Patent Office, and the Department of Navy.

Mr. Lim has received the NASA Medal for Exceptional Service and the NASA Medal for Exceptional Achievement in recognition of his leadership on the JWST and UARS Projects.

Mr. Lim received his B.A. and M.A. in Urban Planning from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, and his Master of Public Administration in Finance from the American University in Washington, D.C.

He is married to Dianne who worked in the Flight Projects Directorate at GSFC on the Hubble Space Telescope Project as a resource analyst.
