GRACE 'Sees' Changes in the Solid Earth
GRACE has proven effective in tracking changes in the solid Earth, such as those caused by major earthquakes like the ones that struck the Indian Ocean in 2004 and Japan in 2011. This image shows how the 2004 Sumatra earthquake affected Earth's gravity field.
