GOES-P In Mass Properties Testing

GOES-P, pictured here in mass properties testing at Boeing's satellite integration and test complex in El Segundo, Calif., is the third in a series of three Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites that will provide enhanced Earth observation and weather monitoring to NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). When launched in early 2010, GOES-P will augment the satellite constellation that provides continuous weather monitoring for 60 percent of the planet, including the United States.
