ISS043182340 (05/08/2015) — NASA astronaut Scott Kelly took this intriguing picture of Mount Etna, a volcano on the Italian island of Sicily. Located on the northeast part of the island it first erupted 500,000 years ago and is still active today. Scott tweed this image from the International Space Station with the comment: “MtEtna Highest European active #volcano lives up to its Italian name Mongibello (beautiful mountain) from space too”.
