Drought conditions in Chile continue to fuel wildfires in the country.
Fires continue to plague Central Chile as a record number of forest fires this past year have erupted due to drought conditions and high temperatures. This natural-color satellite image of Central Chile was collected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard the Terra satellite on January 21, 2017.
