UNIQUE NASA-UNIVERSITY CYBER CONFERENCE SCHEDULED THURSDAY

     NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin hosts a new higher-
education initiative Oct. 19 as part of a unique live cyber 
conference originating from Headquarters in Washington, DC.

The program, moderated by Gen. Spence Armstrong, Senior Advisor to 
the Administrator, is designed to strengthen the Agency's 
partnerships with the nation's universities and colleges, and will 
originate from the James E. Webb auditorium from 1 to 4 p.m. EDT.

Due to continuous coverage of the STS-92 Space Shuttle mission on 
NASA Television, the NASA-University Cyber Conference TV coverage 
can be seen on GE3 (KU), Transponder 17, located at 87 degrees 
West longitude. The frequency is 12040.0 MHz. Polarization is 
horizontal and audio is at 6.2/6.8 MHz.

Details of this major new higher-education initiative will be 
revealed in presentations, including question and answer sessions,
