NASA TO PARTICIPATE AT THE CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS

     NASA will join the Congressional Black Caucus at their 29th 
Annual Legislative Conference September 15-17, 1999.  

     Events include:

--September 15-17: NASA exhibit at the Washington Convention 
Center, 900 9th St. NW, Washington, DC, featuring NASA astronauts 
Robert Curbeam, Jr and Joan Higginbotham, the NASA Glenn Research 
Center Mobile Aeronautics Education Laboratory and the "Aero-Space 
Technology for the 21st Century" and "On the Space Frontier 
Exhibits."

--September 16: NASA Headquarters Office of Education video 
presentation, "The Underground Railroad through Math, Science and 
Technology."  The video will debut at the Underground Railroad 
Issues Forum, O'Neill House Office Building, Room 116, New Jersey 
Avenue and 3rd Street, SE, Washington, DC.  The event will begin 
at 12:30 p.m. EDT.

--September 17: NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin and astronaut 
Robert Curbeam, Jr to spotlight NASA's Private-Public Technology 
Partnerships--CBC Education Braintrust Program hosted by 
Congressman Major Owens at the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 
2175, Washington, DC, at 4 p.m.
