The research is from a seven-week study conducted last summer during the Third Convection and Moisture Experiment (CAMEX-3) that involved NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and several universities. This was a concentrated effort to gauge the strength of Atlantic hurricane winds and rainfall. Contact at NASA Headquarters, Washington, DC: David E. Steitz 202/358-1730.
