Researchers from the Institute for Research, Inc., and NASA's Johnson Space Center, both in Houston, use a new commercial payload -- the Microencapsulation Electrostatic Processing System (MEPS) -- to produce capsules for evaluation. A "long exposure" infrared image taken with Hubble's Near Infrared Camera and Multi- Object Spectrometer (NICMOS) has uncovered the faintest galaxies ever seen, possibly the farthest objects known in the Universe. Three panelists from the University of Arizona and the Observatories of the Carnegie Institution, Pasadena, CA, will participate.
