MEDIA ADVISORY : M06-053 International Space Station Captures Images of Solar Eclipse Crew members onboard the International Space Station captured images of this morning's solar eclipse, as they witnessed the spectacle from their unique vantage point 230 miles above the Earth. Video of the eclipse from the station will be available on the NASA TV Video File on the Media Channel starting at noon EST.

Cameras mounted outside the 200-ton orbiting laboratory recorded the video at about 5:50 a.m. EST, as the eclipse passed over Turkey. Photos were taken by the crew as the station passed over Lebanon. Imagery is available at:

NASA TV's Public, Education and Media channels are available on an MPEG-2 digital C-band signal accessed via satellite AMC-6, at 72 degrees west longitude, transponder 17C, 4040 MHz, vertical polarization. In Alaska and Hawaii, they're on AMC-7 at 137 degrees west longitude, transponder 18C, at 4060 MHz, horizontal polarization. For digital downlink information, visit:
