NASA Astronauts Available for Live Satellite Interviews

NASA astronauts will be available to discuss the next space shuttle mission during live satellite interviews from 6 to 9 a.m. EDT Saturday, Aug. 26 and Sunday, Aug. 27.

Astronauts Shannon Walker, Jim Kelly and Mike Fincke will be available from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., for these one-on-one interview opportunities. They are available to discuss the next mission of the Space Shuttle Atlantis.

To book a 10-minute window, media outlets should contact Al Feinberg at 202-358-1058 or 202-329-0163.

Atlantis' flight, designated STS-115, is set to launch Sunday, Aug. 27 at 4:30 p.m. EDT. Atlantis' launch window extends through September 13. This mission begins a series of International Space Station assembly flights that will be as challenging and complex as any in space history.

These interviews will not be carried on NASA TV. For NASA TV streaming video, scheduling, analog and digital downlink information, visit:
