NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston, has exercised a second one-year option of its Center Operations Support Services Contract with DynCorp Technical Services of Fort Worth, Texas. The option is valued at more than $51 million.

The contract, initially awarded competitively in 2002, for two years with three one-year options, has a potential total value of about $279 million.

The contract is for maintenance and operations of JSC. It includes providing backup power to the Mission Control Center, support of International Space Station and Space Shuttle training facilities, vacuum chambers, the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory and other laboratories. It includes plant maintenance and operations, minor construction, painting, engineering and design, custodial work, grounds maintenance, and strategic planning to support environmental programs.
